Mapping x Lux Mundi

Our piece PLUS ULTRA, is a visual allegory of creation and destruction, exploring what lies beyond the known world. Inspired by the symbolism of the Pantocrator fresco, we crafted a piece that speculates on cosmic mysteries and elemental forces. Through experimental footage and generative algorithms, we move through subatomic worlds, fluid realities, and elemental forces—water, fire, air, and earth—to create a vertiginous visual narrative that connects the micro and macro, the tangible and the infinite, the real and the algorithmic creation.

This piece is part of Lux Mundi, an audiovisual intervention that brings together cultural heritage and digital creativity. Curated by Antònia Folguera, the project features four visual pieces created by four different Catalan studios, reinterpreting the iconic Romanesque frescoes of Sant Climent de Taüll through the lens of contemporary digital art; in a celebration of digital creativity in Catalonia.
